Simon Says Game with Growing Sequences
by AhaMinute
About Memory Palace
Memory Palace is a free Simon Says game you play in your browser. Eight coloured pads are arranged in a grid on screen. Each round the game lights up a sequence of pads one by one. Your job is to click them in the same order from memory.
How to play Memory Palace?
Press Start Game and watch the pads light up in order. Each pad brightens and scales up while it is active. After the full sequence has played, the message changes to 'Your turn!'. Now click the pads in the same order you saw them.
A wrong click flashes all pads red, reveals the correct next pad for a moment, then ends the game. Each level adds one more step to the sequence and speeds up slightly at levels 6, 11, and 16, so concentrate on building the chain one pad at a time.

Tips and strategy
- 1Chunk the sequence into groups of three or four. Your brain holds short groups far better than one long list, so think of a 9-step sequence as three groups of three.
- 2Say each pad's position or colour out loud as it lights up. Verbal encoding gives you a second memory channel, so if you forget the visual, the word might still trigger the recall.
- 3Do not rush your clicks. The game waits for you during your turn, so take a breath between each click to stay calm and accurate, especially at higher levels.
- 4Watch the speed changes at levels 6, 11, and 16. The show phase gets noticeably faster, so adjust your attention to catch the quicker flashes.
